Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect the minimum we need to run Promptd (your account, your learning progress, and anything you post in the community). We do not sell your data, we do not run ad trackers, and your data lives in the EU. Email us at bognerov@gmail.com for anything privacy related.

1. Who we are

Promptd (clubpromptd.com) is an educational platform operated by the Promptd team, an independent student project based in Spain ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at bognerov@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

Account data: your name, email address and password (stored in hashed form), collected when you sign up. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them.
Learning data: which lessons you complete, your quiz scores, and whether you have a premium membership.
Community content: messages, posts and other content you choose to publish in the community areas (visible to other members).
Preferences: settings such as light or dark theme, stored locally in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address and request time) generated by our hosting provider to keep the service secure and running.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

3. Payments

Paid subscriptions are coming soon and will be processed by Stripe. We will never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles payment details under its own privacy policy. We will only receive confirmation of your subscription status.

4. Why we process your data (legal bases)

To provide the service (contract): accounts, progress tracking, premium features, the community.
To keep the service safe (legitimate interest): security logs, abuse prevention.
With your consent: anything optional we may add later, such as a newsletter. We will ask first.

5. Where your data lives

Our database and authentication run on Supabase, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Our website is served by Vercel, whose global network may process technical request data outside the EU under standard contractual safeguards.

6. Who we share data with

We share data only with the processors we need to run Promptd:

Supabase (database and login, EU Frankfurt)
Vercel (website hosting)
Google / Apple (only if you choose to sign in with them)
Stripe (payments, once subscriptions launch)

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account exists. If you delete your account, or ask us to, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where a short retention period is required for security or legal reasons.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. Email bognerov@gmail.com and we will act on your request. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).

9. Age

Promptd is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16; if you believe a younger person has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. About the water estimates

Numbers such as "water saved" shown in the product are good-faith estimates for motivation and education. They are not measurements, and we clearly label them as estimates.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will post the new version here and update the effective date. Significant changes will be announced in the product.
